How to Reset a Password in LOCATOR LOGiX

Forgot Password

Registered users will be able to reset their own password by selecting the forgot password link on the sign-in screen

  1. Select the ‘forgot password’ link from the sign-in screen to be directed to the ‘forgot password’ screen
  2. On the forgot password screen, enter a valid email address or username to submit the reset request
  3. When the reset request is submitted, if the request is valid the account owner will receive a verification email 
  4. The user must confirm that they control the associated email account by selecting the verify link in the password reset email
  5. Once verified the user will be directed to the create new password screen where he or she may create a new password

Reset Password

  1. When the verification process is completed successfully the user will be directed to the create new password screen where he or she may create a new password
  2. The system will indicate to the user if there newly created password meets the security requirements of the system as they type
  3. Once the password is updated, the user will be directed back to the sign-in screen
